Scholarships
ATA Colleague’s Scholarship
The Holy Spirit Catholic ATA Local #5 annually offers a scholarship to dependents of members of the Local Association. A person is defined as a member of the Local Association if he/she is a certified teacher and is currently paying membership dues in the local association, or is a retired member of the Local Association. According to the scholarship guidelines, two awards of $1000.00 will be given to the first placed applicant and an award of $500.00 to the second placed applicant. On occasion, more than two candidates are deemed worthy of receiving the award. Criteria.

Faculty of Education Student Scholarship
The Holy Spirit Catholic ATA Local #5 annually offers a scholarship to graduates of a high school in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division who are attending as a full-time, first year Faculty of education student at the University of Lethbridge. According to the Scholarship guidelines, two awards of $1000.00 will be given to the first place applicant and an award of $500 will be given to the second place applicant. On occasion, more than two candidates may be deemed worthy of receiving the award. At the discretion of the Donations and Scholarship Committee, the award for the candidates may be divided between or among applicants who are deemed by the committee to be equally deserving of the scholarship.
